Vacancy: Senior Specialist, Library of the Legal Information Center (CIJ)

The National Institute of Justice (municipality of Chisinau, str. Serghei Lazo, 1) extends the competition for filling the vacant position: main specialist, Library within the Legal Information Center (1 permanent position).

The competition for the selection of candidates for the position of main specialist, Library, includes:

• file competition;
• the interview test.

Basic tasks of the vacant position:

• ensures the management of the INJ library and provides assistance to the INJ beneficiaries;
• ensures the organization of events to promote the informational resources of the CIJ;
• contributes to establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with other libraries, relevant institutions in order to facilitate access to legal information;
• participates in the development and application of the INJ library consolidation/reconceptualization strategy;
• contributes to the elaboration of informational materials of the ICJ;
• manage ICJ's online information resources;
• evaluates the needs and submits proposals for the purchase of goods necessary to inform the INJ beneficiaries.

Conditions for participation in the contest:

• secondary specialized studies, incomplete or complete bachelor's degrees/equivalents in one of the fields: librarianship, management, law, communication, information technologies or other fields related to ensuring access to information;
• the use of information technologies at the average or advanced user level;
• knowledge of the normative framework regarding library management, minimum:
  • Law on libraries, no. 160 of 20.07.2017;
  • Government Decision approving the Regulation on services provided by public libraries, no. 24 of 22.01.2020;
  • Regulation on the management of library collections, Order of the Ministry of Culture no. 196 of 03.10.2022;

• knowledge of the Romanian language;
• are advantages - work experience in the fields relevant to the position, knowledge of the English language, knowledge in the field of law, graphic design or video/image processing skills.

• curriculum vitae (CV);
• letter of motivation;
• copy of the identity document;
• copies of the document(s) of studies and certificates of participation in professional development and/or specialization courses, knowledge of the English language (as applicable), other confirmatory documents regarding the qualifications/experience held;
• optional - letters of thanks, diplomas of appreciation, letters of reference/recommendation, etc.;
• the agreement regarding the processing of personal data (in free form).

Position salary:

According to Law 270/2018 on the unitary salary system.
