The European Judicial Training Strategy for the period 2025-2030 was adopted

The new one European judicial training strategy for the period 2025-2030 was adopted today as part of the Digital Justice@2030 package.

With the generic title "Creating an enabling environment for DigitalJustice@2030", the document places particular emphasis on digitization and the use of AI to simplify and make justice work more efficient. The strategy supports:

1. - developing the necessary skills for the effective use of tools and digital infrastructure in judicial systems;

2. - strengthening knowledge of European Union law and national law, in a context adapted to the requirements of the digital economy and society;

3. - increasing the level of awareness regarding the process of digitization of justice.

Professional training will play a key role in developing the competences of justice actors in information technology and artificial intelligence, in line with the specific responsibilities of each legal profession.

In addition to the digital component, other training objectives remain a priority, such as those regarding fundamental rights, the rule of law or issues related to enlargement. These continue to be key directions for the future development of judicial training.

The new strategy is based on the conclusions presented in the European Commission's working document: The balance sheet of judicial training results 2021-2024  and will guide the efforts of graduate schools in the coming years to ensure a modern, efficient judiciary ready for digital challenges.
