The INJ audience shares the experience of the study visit from Bucharest

In order to capitalize on the experience gained during the study visit to Bucharest, the audience of the National Institute of Justice organized on Monday, November 17, 2025, a session to disseminate the acquired knowledge. The event, dedicated to colleagues recently admitted to the initial training course, offered a direct and practical perspective on the judicial system in Romania - a reference model in the process of alignment with European Union standards.

Candidates for the positions of judge and prosecutor who participated in the study visit took on the role of mentors for a day, sharing the most relevant observations and lessons learned. They presented the organization of admission to the National Institute of Magistracy, the structure of the study program, as well as the internships of INM auditors and their importance in the professional training of future magistrates. Their interventions provided a complete picture of the training path of professionals in the Romanian judicial system and highlighted the differences compared to the model implemented at the National Institute of Justice.

At the same time, the practical activities carried out within the prosecutor's offices and courts in Bucharest were described, highlighting both the similarities and the particularities of the criminal investigation and trial procedures in Romania and the Republic of Moldova. Thus, the session created an open dialogue framework between future judges and prosecutors from both promotions, transforming the accumulated experiences into a valuable resource for those at the beginning of their careers.

Study visit to the National Institute of Magistracy, courts and prosecutor's offices in Bucharest took place between November 10-12, 2025, thanks to the project "Assistance in the field of justice - Strengthening the institutional capacity of the National Institute of Justice of the Republic of Moldova", implemented by the Romanian Agency for International Cooperation for Development (RoAid) in partnership with the National Institute of Magistracy in Romania, as well as thanks to of the CoE project "Support for justice reform in the Republic of Moldova".
