Working meeting at INJ with OECD representatives for the organization of activities in the field of competition law and combating corruption
On Monday, June 23, 2025, representatives of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) paid a visit to the National Institute of Justice. Clara Le Cannellier and Salomé Will, specialists in public policy analysis, Eurasia Division, and Sarah Kups, chief economist, Governance and Performance Indicators Division, met with Ramona Strugariu, director of INJ, Ecaterina Popa, head of the Training and Research Directorate, and Octavian Bivol, head of the Continuous Training Section.
The subject of the meeting was the organization of two fall schools intended for the professional development of INJ beneficiaries, as well as other categories of practitioners. The first training activity will address the theoretical-practical aspects of competition law and will be addressed to judges specialized in administrative and civil law, prosecutors, as well as representatives of the Competition Council. The second thematic school will be dedicated to the investigation and trial of corruption crimes, with the target group being prosecutors, judges, collaborators of the National Anticorruption Center, the Agency for the Recovery of Criminal Assets and the Prevention and Combating of Money Laundering Service.
Both activities will be facilitated by national and foreign experts, giving participants the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the latest techniques and practices in the field. The training programs will be interactive with group work sessions, case study analysis and practical exercises to promote knowledge transfer and exchange of experience between participants.
During the meeting, the logistical aspects necessary for the smooth running of the two schools, which will be part of the project "Supporting reforms in the justice sector in the Republic of Moldova", co-financed by the European Union and implemented by the OECD in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice, were also examined.
