Representatives of the European Association of Administrative Law Judges, visiting the National Institute of Justice

On Monday, October 27, 2025, the leadership of the National Institute of Justice, in the presence of director Ramona Strugariu and deputy director Ghennadi Epure, met with the representatives of AEAJ – the European Association of Specialized Judges in Administrative Law, Eva Wendler and Edith Zeller.

The main purpose of the meeting was to identify opportunities for collaboration in the professional training segment of judges, depending on the areas of interest. AEAJ representatives spoke about the association's expertise in administrative law, with references to topics such as fiscal law and environmental law, areas in which European expertise could bring significant value to the judicial system of the Republic of Moldova.

During the discussions, the potential of organizing a seminar in Chisinau with Moldovan and Ukrainian judges was explored as a way to encourage interaction and exchange of experience between the magistrates of the two countries. The parties also addressed the possibility of involving Austrian experts in training programs for Moldovan judges adapted to the themes established by mutual agreement.

At the end of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continue the initiated dialogue and lay the foundations for sustainable cooperation.
