The National Institute of Justice has started Admission 2022*
The National Institute of Justice starts the admission competition for initial training during the period October 2022 – April 2024: 10 places for candidates for the position of judge and 15 places for candidates for the position of prosecutor.
The competition can be entered by the person who meets the conditions for occupying the positions of judge and prosecutor provided by the Law on the status of the judge no. 544-XIII of 20.07.1995 and the Law on the Prosecutor's Office no. 3 of 25.02.2016, in particular:
- holds the citizenship of the Republic of Moldova and resides on its territory;
- has full exercise capacity;
- has a bachelor's degree in law or its equivalent;
- has a master's/master's degree in law or its equivalent;
- has no criminal record;
- enjoys an impeccable reputation;
- knows the Romanian language;
- is medically fit for the exercise of the function;
- does not have, in the last 5 years, in the file regarding professional integrity, entries regarding the negative result of the professional integrity test for violating the obligation provided for in art. 7 paragraph (2) letter. a) from the Law on the evaluation of institutional integrity no. 325 of 23.12.2013 (for persons who, until the submission of documents for the admission competition, worked in public entities that fall under the scope of the evaluation of institutional integrity).
Persons applying for admission to the Institute in order to apply for the position of judge must have a length of service of at least 2 years in legal professions: prosecutor, lawyer, ombudsman, notary, bailiff, criminal prosecution officer, probation counselor, legal specialist staff from law offices, trainee lawyer, trainee notary, legal specialist staff from notary offices, full-time or cumular trainer in the field of law within the INJ, full-time teaching staff in the field of law, legal specialist staff within the INJ, CSM, CSP, Constitutional Court, Ministry Justice, courts and prosecutors' offices, employees of legal departments/sections or similar to them within other authorities, as well as other legal specialties whose list is established by the Government of the Republic of Moldova. The length of service includes only the period of work after obtaining the law degree.
Applications for registration to the competition are submitted online, in the Information System of INJ, during the period 1 - 29 July 2022.
The scanned version of the following documents is attached to the standard application:
- identity card and, where applicable, marriage certificate;
- bachelor's degree in law and its supplement or equivalent;
- master's degree/master's degree in law and its supplement or equivalent;
- doctor of law degree (if any);
- documents for determining length of service: work book, for the period up to December 28, 2018, and the employee's personal file, certificates signed by the managers and chief accountants of the respective institutions, organizations or enterprises, authenticated by stamp, in which reference must be made to the document confirming length of service (order, disposition, etc.);
- certificate of record detailed judicial;
- reference from the last place of work or studies, as the case may be.
The medical certificate regarding the state of health and the conclusions regarding the compliance with the requirements for exercising the function is issued by the specialized Commission of the Ministry of Health, after passing the admission exams, and is presented to the National Institute of Justice.
Participation in the competition is allowed for people who hold bachelor's degrees in law, issued by higher education institutions in the Republic of Moldova. Persons holding bachelor's degrees in law from abroad present the certificate of recognition and equivalence of studies in the manner established by the Government of the Republic of Moldova.

*Taking into account the fact that, currently, the Law on the National Institute of Justice no. 152-XVI of 08.06.2006 is being amended, there may be some changes related to the conditions for participation in the contest (you can consult the draft Law HERE).
