EJTN launched the study "The state of judicial training in Europe"

The European Judicial Training Network (EJTN) has launched the "State of Judicial Training in Europe" study, a benchmark report that provides the first overview of judicial training institutions in Europe.

The study, coordinated by the EJTN Working Group on Judicial Training Methods, is based on data collected at the end of 2024 from all EJTN members, associate members and observers. The analysis covers essential aspects such as the organization of training institutions, the content and methods of training, the profile of trainers, the evaluation of training and the identification of training needs.

The report highlights the diversity of national judicial training systems, as well as the common need for innovation, cooperation and exchange of best practices at European level, underlining the central role of the EJTN in supporting and coordinating this process.

The study was premiered at the annual EJTN training needs assessment event held in January 2026 in Brussels and can be accessed HERE.
