Cooperation with the IRZ Foundation, discussed at the National Institute of Justice
Between April 23-24, 2024, in Chisinau, representatives of the German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation (IRZ) are on a working visit to discuss the continuation of cooperation with partner organizations from the Republic of Moldova.
On Wednesday, April 24, 2024, the Acting Director of the National Institute of Justice, Adrian Cerbu, met with the German delegation, consisting of Frank Hupfeld, Head of Section, Anja Finke, Deputy Head of Section, and Leonie Baumann, Project Manager. The meeting was also attended by Olga Marandici, adviser to the INJ Director, head of the International Relations Section.
During the meeting, the value of the collaboration between the two parties was highlighted in terms of the judicial training of the beneficiaries of the National Institute of Justice, especially in the field of administrative litigation. In this context, the importance of the professional training of the newly appointed magistrates in the panels that will examine administrative litigation cases, the need to train trainers, among judges, in this segment, as well as the development of a course support as didactic material for the training of professionals in the legal sector, was discussed.
Also, aspects related to the organization of study visits to the Administrative Court in Cologne were addressed in order to consolidate knowledge and familiarize with German administrative law practices. At the same time, the usefulness of conducting a follow-up session for the group of INJ judges and trainers who were, last year, on a similar visit to the Federal Republic of Germany, was emphasized.
