Republican Fine Arts Competition "Equality Generation"

announce:

the 3rd edition of the Republican Fine Arts Competition

"GENERATION OF EQUALITY"

 

PARTICIPATES: Art schools, fine arts schools, creative circles, general education schools and gymnasiums.

AGE CATEGORIES:

  1. 11 - 14 years.
  2. 15 - 17 years.

APPOINTMENTS:

  1. COMPOSITION.
  2. DECORATIVE COMPOSITION.
  3. ARTISTIC TECHNIQUES.
  4. SCULPTURE/CERAMIC.

PURPOSE OF THE CONTEST:

  1. To promote, through creative exhibitions and other joint activities, the ideas of human equality.
  2. To acquaint the young generation with the tools to ensure gender equality, including the Istanbul Convention.
  3. To train creative skills in the young generation.
  4. To identify and promote young talents.
  5. To stimulate students' interest in self-expression through artistic creation.
  6. To develop the spirit of competitiveness and self-confidence of children.

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION:

Students from art schools, fine arts schools, creative circles, general education schools and gymnasiums, aged between 11 and 17, can participate in the competition.

CONDITIONS FOR PERFORMING THE WORKS:

Works must reflect the principle of equality for all.

PERFORMANCE TECHNIQUES:

Creative works can be made in various techniques (oil, watercolor, gouache, ink, pencil, pastel, mixed technique, batik, collage, tapestry, etc.) or in volumetric compositions (ceramics, sculpture, papier mache, wire, thread, etc.).

WORKS FORMAT:

A3 (297×420 mm), presented in passe-partout and mounted on cardboard (500×700 mm).

PARTICIPANTS:

The contest is intended for:

  1. Art schools, plastic arts schools, creative circles.
  2. General education schools and gymnasiums.

COMPETITION STAGES:

  • Launching the contest and distributing the regulations to general and artistic education institutions: February 1 – February 15, 2022.
  • Online reception of work images: March 25 – April 8, 2022.
  • The results of the pre-selection will be announced at April 13, 2022.
  • Reception of the selected works in the original until April 22, 2022.
  • Exhibition of selected works in the premises of the National Institute of Justice April 26, 2022.
  • Announcing the winners and handing out the prizes in the premises of the National Institute of Justice,  May 9/15, 2022 (exact date to be announced later).

CONDUCT OF THE COMPETITION

1. PRE-SELECTION: the participants of the contest will send the pictures of the works, in JPG format, to the electronic address. The letter will be attached the participant's request. Each work - is a separate letter with the request and photo of the work. The generic should be indicated in the subject of the email "GENERATION OF EQUALITY".

The number of participants is unlimited. A participant can present only one work. Competitors who have passed the first stage of selection will receive an invitation in electronic form for further participation in the competition.

It is mandatory that the works be presented with the accompanying letter from the institution (Annex – registration form) that includes the list of works, the address and the phone number of the participant and his teacher.

On the back of the work to be indicated:

  • Name, first name of author, institution.
  • The generic of the work.
  • Age (number of completed years) and date of birth of the author.
  • The name, first name of the teacher.
  • Address and postal code, e-mail address (preferably the teacher's).
  • Telephone number with city code.

The works are not re-examined and, after the competition, they are not returned.

All works are at the disposal of the contest organizers and can be used without the author's consent in various activities.

2. FINAL STAGE:

Until April 22, 2022 participants present original creative works, at the address: Republic of Moldova, city Chisinau, Alexandru cel Bun str., 19, "Alexei Șciusev" School of Fine Arts.

Reception of works Monday – Friday, time interval: 09.00 – 17.00; tel.: 069737885.

April 26-29, 2022 - FINAL JUDGMENT. 

May 9/15, 2022- the announcement of the winners and the awarding of diplomas will take place in the premises of the National Institute of Justice, Chisinau, 1 Serghei Lazo str.

WORK EVALUATION CRITERIA:

  1. Completion of the work according to the theme / generic of the competition.
  2. The originality of the idea.
  3. Creative achievement.
  4. Application of artistic techniques.

COMPOSITION OF THE JURY:

Exhibitors of the Union of Plastic Artists from the Republic of Moldova, teachers and representatives of profile institutions, other guests.

All participants passed in the second stage of the competition will receive diplomas of participation.

Contest participants who pass the final stage will receive diplomas with mentions/prizes.
